Crooked Tree Cottage - Bed and Breakfast or Self Catering Accommodation in Umhlanga Rocks, Durban
Crooked Tree Cottage is a lovely Bed and Breakfast/Self Catering accommodation establishment set in the heart of Umhlanga, Durban, Kwazulu-Natal, one of the premier holiday accommodation/tourist hot spots in South Africa!
It is literally a stones throw away from Umhlanga Village with its Golden sandy beaches. Gateway Theatre of shopping is a 2 min drive away and Durban CBD and ICC are about 15 minutes drive. Umhlanga New Town Centre and theLa Lucia Ridge office park are on our doorstep. It is close to both the M4 and the N2 highways making access to Durban and the rest of KZN extremely efficient. This makes it an ideal accommodation venue for both Holiday makers and Business people alike.
Crooked Tree Cottage is aptly named for the indigenous tree that drapes over the cottage as well as other parts of the garden. These trees are ideal for the humid subtropical climate of coastal Kwazulu Natal as they provide a restful cooling shade on our hot sunny summer days and lose their leaves in the winter making the view even more spectacular!
The sea views from the balconies are magnificent and the bird life is amazing to watch. Vervet monkeys are almost daily visitors and the occasional Woolly Necked Storks can be spotted in the branches of the trees.
Crooked Tree Cottage Accommodation in Umhlanga
Crooked Tree consists of a 3 room cottage and 3 Studio suites. All are bookable as B&B, Bed Only or Self Catering. The Cottage accommodates 6-7 guests, Two Studio suites accommodate 2 guests per suite and the remaining Studio can accommodate to 2 - 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children.
Crooked Tree Cottage has a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious open plan dining and lounge area with a sea-facing balcony. There is a deck area with seating at the entrance to the cottage.
Room 1: King size bed, en suite shower, sea facing.
Room 2: King size bed, en suite shower, sea facing.
Room 3: Double bed, en suite shower, private entrance.

Room 4, 5, 6
Beautifully decorated, the Studio suites are separate from the cottage. Each has its own entrance. Each Studio has a well-equipped kitchen and en suite. Each suite has a king size bed – snooze together with space to spare! The Family Studio also offers a sleeper couch for a 3rd adult or 2 little ones – but be aware - the beds are all in one suite. All Studios open onto balconies - enjoy views over the swimming pool and out to sea.
